The "Manchester" round was very good and we were all thrilled to find that the "Strictly" round really required no "Strictly" knowledge at all!

I was only sorry that the Sergio Aguerooooo question went to someone else...

There were very few questions unanswered by anyone on either side in the GK, certainly it was a single figure number, which isn't a bad indicator.

I remember the destination of the secret passage in Cluedo fooled us all, as did the birth date of the Betamax video. No one got the founding of the TUC in the history round either! Off the top of my head, we also couldn't remember the Picasso painting or how many holes there are in a Connect 4 board. Daft game, anyway!

Overall though, a good evening out. It will be interesting to see what Haydn's magic spreadsheet reveals. Time will tell!MWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09387752584554188850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27404598.post-58821742505362221842018-02-16T12:06:04.981+00:002018-02-16T12:06:04.981+00:00In total I had 5 sports questions, including the o...In total I had 5 sports questions, including the one about Stelling. As you get 20 questions each in total, that's 25%, which is noticeably higher than usual given the wide range of possible subjects to ask in the GQ. Outside of the Sport round there were arguably 12 sports questions, of which I got 4, or 33%. Unless I've miscounted and/or my maths is screwy, of course :) Jon Thompsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14190338454829272603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27404598.post-78248477368973189892018-02-16T11:48:01.173+00:002018-02-16T11:48:01.173+00:00Maybe I'm wrong, but it became a running joke ...Maybe I'm wrong, but it became a running joke by the end.
