Buoyant from last week's result (we didn't lose!) we swaggered confidently into the Tavern - everything was going for us: the full team, playing on home ground. Just one thing stood between us and moving on to the next round - The Dolphin from the A League. Hmmm.
The questions we thought were quite good (see link at right) and it is interesting to look at the scores round by round:
Round 1 The Dolphin 12, Wonderers 15
Round 2 The Dolphin 22 Wonderers 4
Round 3 The Dolphin 14, Wonderers 17
Round 4 The Dolphin 23 Wonderers 8
Round 5 The Dolphin 16 Wonderers 11
Round 6 The Dolphin 24, Wonderers 7
So in fact whilst the final score of 111 to 62 looks pretty damning, in fact the Wonderers won 2 of the six rounds which is quite creditable.
So we can now look forward to having a couple of Tuesdays off (subject to being question masters) - every cloud ....
The Dolphin were worthy winners and we wish them luck in the next round of the Cup.

You should see the scores for The Harington against Ox Fford C - we lost narrowly, but won 3 rounds.
We won round 1, then lost round 2 as heavily as you did. It will be interesting to see if others followed the same pattern.
